Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Welcome to JAPISOFT ("we", "us", or "our"). We develop web, mobile, and desktop software solutions. We are strongly committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding any data collected or processed when you use our website (japisoft.eu) or our software applications distributed through app stores (such as Google Play and the Microsoft Store).
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is handled, your legal rights under applicable data protection laws (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), and our commitments to your security.
1. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy is:
2. Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- Our official website at https://japisoft.eu.
- Our mobile applications distributed via Google Play (e.g., IoT Examples, Lottery Winner PRO, Finances PRO, Happy Days PRO, EnergyLog PRO).
- Our desktop applications distributed via the Microsoft Store (e.g., Personal Finance Plus and desktop versions of our PRO suite).
- Any direct communication with us (e.g., support requests via email).
3. Data in Mobile & Desktop Applications
A. Local-First Applications (No Server Transmission)
The majority of our applications (including Finances PRO, Personal Finance Plus, EnergyLog PRO, Happy Days PRO, and Lottery Winner PRO) are designed with a privacy-first, local-storage architecture:
- Your Data Remains on Your Device: All personal records, financial numbers, budgets, dates, anniversaries, notes, and user settings are stored solely in your device's local database or secure storage (e.g., SQLite, local preferences).
- No Remote Tracking or Transmission: We do not transmit, copy, inspect, or sell your local application data to our servers or any third parties.
- Backups & Exports: If an application provides a backup or export feature (e.g., exporting to CSV or JSON), the exported file is stored strictly on your local device storage or your chosen personal cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive) under your own control.
B. Applications Using Google Firebase
Certain connected applications in our portfolio utilize Google Firebase (a cloud backend service provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) to provide online functionality:
- Account & Authentication: If an application requires a user account, Firebase Authentication handles your email, encrypted password, or social sign-in tokens. Passwords are never visible to or stored in plain text by JAPISOFT.
- Cloud Database & Sync: Application data intended for synchronization across devices is stored securely in Firebase Cloud Firestore or Realtime Database.
- Push Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) may be used to deliver notifications. A randomized device registration token is used solely to route alerts to your device.
- Diagnostics & Crash Reports: Firebase Crashlytics may collect anonymous crash logs, device model, operating system version, and stack traces to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
Data processed by Firebase is managed under Google's strict security standards. For details on Google's privacy practices, please review the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Privacy & Security Documentation.
4. Data Processed via the Website
A. Server Logs
When you access japisoft.eu, our web server automatically collects standard access logs to maintain network security, troubleshoot technical errors, and prevent cyber threats. These logs may include:
- Your IP address (anonymized/truncated where feasible),
- Browser type and version,
- Operating system,
- Referring URL and pages visited,
- Date, time, and duration of the visit.
Server logs are routinely rotated and deleted and are not used to identify individual visitors.
B. Google Analytics & Cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics (Google tag G-SFHXEC918C), an analytics service provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. Google Analytics uses small text files called "cookies" placed on your device to help us understand aggregated visitor traffic and optimize web performance.
The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website is typically transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the European Union or the United States under standard contractual clauses. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally.
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by configuring your browser's cookie settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Direct Communication & Support
If you contact us via email at [email protected], we process your email address, your name (if provided), and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry, provide customer or technical support, and resolve potential software issues. We do not share your contact details with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal grounds for processing personal data include:
- Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): To deliver the functions of our apps and fulfill agreements when you purchase or install our software.
- Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): To ensure the security and stability of our website and applications, fix technical errors, and respond to your direct support inquiries.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Where you have granted explicit consent, such as for specific permissions on your device or non-essential cookies. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
- Compliance with Legal Obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): When we must retain records to satisfy legal, tax, or regulatory duties.
7. Device Permissions
Depending on the operating system (Android, Windows) and application features, our apps may request access to certain device capabilities:
- Notifications: Required only if you enable reminders or scheduled alerts (such as in Happy Days PRO). Alerts are generated locally or through standard system notification channels.
- Storage / Photos / Media / Files: Requested exclusively when you explicitly choose to backup, export, or import your data files locally.
- Network / Internet: Used for license validation via app stores (Google Play, Microsoft Store), loading cloud features (in Firebase-connected apps), or displaying external links.
You can adjust or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's system settings.
8. Data Retention & Deletion Policy
- For Local-Storage Apps: Because your data is stored strictly on your device, deleting the application or clearing the application data in your device settings will permanently erase all stored information immediately. We hold no copy on our servers.
- For Firebase-Connected Apps: If you registered an account, you can request full account and associated data deletion directly within the application settings (where available) or by emailing us at [email protected]. Upon receipt, we will permanently delete your account and associated records within 30 days.
- Support Communications: Support emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and fulfill legitimate audit requirements, after which they are deleted.
9. Your Rights Under the GDPR
Under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of Access (Art. 15 GDPR): The right to request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and to receive a copy of that data.
- Right to Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): The right to have inaccurate or incomplete personal data corrected.

Website: https://dataprotection.gov.sk
To exercise any of these rights, please reach out to us at [email protected].
10. Third-Party App Stores and Services
Our applications are distributed through third-party platforms. When you download, purchase, or update apps through these platforms, their own privacy policies apply to your billing and store account data:
- Google Play Store: Operated by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Privacy Policy).
- Microsoft Store: Operated by Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Privacy Statement).
We do not collect or store your payment card numbers or billing details; financial transactions are processed securely by the respective app stores.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services and applications are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where required by local law in EEA member states). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take immediate steps to remove such data.
12. Security and Disclaimer
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal data. However, please be aware that no transmission method over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% impenetrable.
For applications that store data locally on your device, the security of that data relies heavily on your own device security settings (such as device passcode, biometric lock, and avoiding rooted/jailbroken environments). We cannot be held liable for unauthorized access resulting from compromised local device security.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect updates in our applications, technical infrastructure, or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
